The Role…
The Membership Outreach Manager is a direct link between Soho House xxx and the creative communities in the city. Constantly representing Soho House, this role is active in the city, attending events, gallery exhibitions, new restaurant openings, etc., in the art, music, fashion industries. A successful Outreach Manager will have many existing relationships in various creative communities and a thirst to build a vital and growing community in and outside of the Club as well as a strong sales background and a history of target driven roles. They will be able to translate active outreach into recruitment in a seamless way, and will greatly contribute to the growth of the membership body.
Main Duties...
- Actively engaged with the local community, generating ideas and new initiatives. Host networking events in the house.
- Generate a minimum of 50 new member applications per quarter
- Attend pertinent events in the city that our members and prospective applicants would frequent
- Create and maintain a database of people potentially interested in membership and reach out in advance of Committee Meetings. Host tours and meetings to discuss the House and membership.
- Meet and propose potential new Committee Members and make introductions to the Membership team where applicable
- Flexibility in schedule
- Targeted outreach: developing relationships with organisations, companies, and artists, and translating those relationships into membership applications.
Requirements / Qualifications...
- A long-term city resident with extensive knowledge of the local area. Knowledge of local politics and has a personal network of contacts in different creative industries including but not limited to; film, television, music, media, Fashion and culinary, etc.
- Sales background/Target driven experience
- Detail oriented
- Excel skills
- Must have flexible schedule including days shifts, evening shift, holidays, and weekends
- Must have a healthy and active interest in outside cultural events
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast paced environment
- A sophisticated communicator with high standards of performance together with excellent communication, problem solving and listening skills
- Ability to work effectively under time constraints and deadlines
- Passionate about Soho House and upholding its standards and values
