You’ll love what you do and take pride in delighting our guests:

  • You will be responsible for identifying training needs and developing cost effective training initiatives to achieve the set business unit/s goals. You will greatly contribute to the processes and activities that create and promote the Dorchester Collection culture, values and bring the Company Philosophy “We Care” to life ensuring our employees receive nothing but the best experience.
  • Being fully responsible for on brand arrival of all employees and the first week of onboarding training, you will also coordinate and put plans in place to ensure that all mandatory training and learning activities are completed for each employee.
  • Our values of Passion, Personality, Respect, Working Together and Creativity guide us each and every day. As a Learning and Development Manager you’ll have the opportunity to bring these to life and continue to create our legacy. 
  • You will strive to create and maintain a community of winning talent which feels valued and lives the connection to the brand and the Company culture in whatever you do.
  • You will also be responsible to develop an effective annual Training Plan together with the Director of People and Culture which meets the needs of employees as outlined in Personal Development Plans and which assists the hotel and other associated business units to achieve its goals and objectives. Further, you will identify from the engagement surveys, guest feedback and other available reports sources potential training needs and actions where required.
  • You will be responsible for providing advice and guidance to both managers and employees on training opportunities, career choices, qualifications and other learning and development matters to fully support each and every employee in their learning and development needs.
  • Monitoring effectiveness of pre- and post-course briefings to ensure maximum benefit from training courses and identify future training needs will also be a crucial part of your role.
  • It will be critical for you to also take active part in the development and execution of an internal communication strategy to engage employees behind the hotel’s vision, values, service and operational goals.

Every detail is designed to create a unique sense of light and fluidity, with generous proportions and an ambience that feels both distinctive and discreet.

ROOMS & SUITES | The difference is in the detail
Space, light and extraordinary views are to be the defining features of the 225 rooms and suites, where Gilles et Boissier combine traditional elements with contemporary touches inspired by the spirit of Dubai. Tall windows frame views of the Burj Khalifa or the sunbaked desert, stretching endlessly towards the horizon.

Interior designers Verhaal and Gilles et Boissier capture an Emirati spirit of innovation with a dynamic selection of restaurants and bars.
