Payroll Officer Finance & Procurement

The Langham, London; Europe’s first Grand Hotel and Forbes 5* rated property, is currently recruiting for a Payroll Officer to join our talented Finance Department team. In this role, we are looking for a true hospitality professional, with the flair to deliver service at the highest level.

In the role of the Payroll Officer, your key focus will be to:

  • Ensure all starters, leavers and changes are processed and actioned
  • Transfer all relevant documentation to the Payroll Bureau by the cut-off date
  • Liaise with the Payroll Bureau over any queries unable to be resolved at the hotel
  • Keep and maintain payroll files as required.
  • Keep and maintain records of any payroll advances and deduct them in the following month’s payroll
  • Prepare all month-end journals & payroll audit in a timely manner
  • Ensure the administration of the company pension scheme is carried out
  • To conduct internal audit as required

Do you have? -

  • strong communication skills
  • proactive attitude
  • previous experience of working in payroll in hospitality or any other sector
  • ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • previous experience of Fourth Hospitality, Great Planes/SUN Accounting is an advantage
  • strong Microsoft Office skills, in particular an advanced level of Excel package is essential
  • personal integrity, ethics and high levels of discretion
