Lumière Brasserie is a stunning new restaurant opening in Century City, Los Angeles.  Located directly across the street from CAA. Lumière is part of a $2.5 billion revitalization of the Century Plaza. Lumière blends the best of the old world and new world. French antiques and authentic décor pepper the space, along with elaborate tilework, rich leather walls, plush banquettes, brass accents and a gorgeous zinc bar, all warmly lit by century-old chandeliers. With no details left out, guests can dine in the outdoor courtyard or private booths.  Designed to be the beating heart of Century city, surrounded by offices full of the “industry’s” power players, Lumière is set to take its place in LA’s iconic restaurant scene.

What you will be doing:

  • Plan and direct all aspects of the restaurant operations to include guest service standards and initiatives and create unforgettable experiences for our guests
  • Ensure the restaurant is positioned as one of the top dining choices in Los Angeles
  • Ensure food & beverage brand standards are maintained and have full knowledge of all restaurant menus
  • Handle guest concerns and react quickly and professionally
  • Achieve financial targets through maximizing revenue and managing expenses and productivity; Develop and execute the strategic plan including budget administration and preparation, forecasting, profit and loss accountability, cost control and inventories
  • Lead the department in all aspects, and ensure service standards are followed though consistent performance management of all restaurant colleagues through constant communication, training, development and follow up
  • Monitor and assess service and satisfaction trends, evaluate and address issues and make improvements accordingly
  • Improves service by communicating and assisting colleagues to understand guest needs, providing guidance, feedback, and individual coaching when needed
  • Interview, select and train new colleagues
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Your experience and skills include:

  • Minimum of three years’ leadership experience as a Restaurant GM in a luxury hotel and/or fine dining restaurant
  • High school diploma or GED and Degree in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major is preferred
  • A thorough working knowledge of wines, liquors, cocktails and other beverages.  
  • Ability to work cohesively as part of the restaurant team and food and beverage division
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Flexible schedule, able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when needed

 

Physical aspects include but are not limited to:

  • Constant standing and walking throughout shift
  • Frequent lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs
  • Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
  • Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
