The DoubleTree by Hilton Carson seeking a highly energetic and enthusiastic Group/BT Sales Manager to join our TEAM. The ideal candidate would have prior experience in a similar position; enjoy prospecting and building relationships with clients.
The Sales Manager is responsible for generating room revenue through the execution of strategic planning and performance to achieve/exceed individual revenue goals within assigned market segments.
Qualifications (relevant experience, education and training):
· Must have previous hotel sales experience – corporate group and business transient preferred.
· Two- or four-year degree from a college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Familiarization with the local markets preferred
· Excellent customer service skills
· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
· Ability to effectively present information to individuals or groups (virtually and in person)
· Proficient with Microsoft Office programs and Hilton systems (OnQ PMS and OnQSM)
· Proficient with Sales System (Delphi.FDC)
· Proficient with Travelclick/Agency 360
· Ability to diplomatically deal with difficult situations and people, while exhibiting a consistent level of professionalism.
Responsibilities
· Approaches sales as a “hunter” through direct sales solicitation with a mix of in person, telephone calls, and emails to shift and increase market share.
· Conduct site inspections, outside sales calls, participate in FAMs, entertain prospective and existing clients, conduct outside sales calls and attend appropriate trade shows and local client events, to actively network, raise the hotel’s profile, and secure new business.
· Develops long-term relationships with clients or potential clients by maintaining consistent verbal and written communications and providing excellent customer service.
· Develop new and creative ways to uncover new business.
· Analyzes requirements of business opportunities. Researches and maintains knowledge of market trends, competition, and customers.
· Responds to all group and corporate RFPs in a timely manner, creates proposals and executes contracts.
· Analyzes and understands internal and external reports to identify and secure new accounts.
· Achieve or exceed quarterly production goals based on assigned markets.
· Travel may be required
· Logs and tracks all weekly sales activities. Completes all assigned relevant training
