Manager, Distribution Operations

À propos du poste

The Global Distribution team plays a critical role in supporting the Global Sales Organization. Our DS Systems team creates automated solutions that aid in executing the retail compensation component of Hilton’s partner agreements with Online Travel Agencies, Travel Management Companies, Meeting Planner Companies, and key accounts globally. Global Distribution performs data capture, calculation, reconciliation, and payout of commissions on behalf of Hiltons’ 6400+ hotels globally.

What will I be doing:
The Distribution Operations Manager will be responsible for assisting Hilton Worldwide hotels in improving incremental revenue opportunities via approved online distribution channels, providing continuing education to hotels about internal systems, finding opportunities to impact market share, and acting as the operational liaison. You will analyze and support the revenue management and distribution strategy of business initiatives.

More specifically, you will:

  • Collaborate with other internal teams to craft strategies and achieve breakthroughs that support the wider Commercial Services objectives
  • Act as an escalation point for internal systems support and process issues sent by brand and hotel representatives
  • Lead process-improvement projects to increase execution efficiency with both internal and external partners
  • Coordinate new/participating hotel activations, solicitations, terminations, and any ongoing communication with the vendor, GDM, IT, 3rd Party Distribution, and Hilton Worldwide regional and corporate staff
  • Proactively audit and analyze Special Rate Plans (SRPs), rates, and accounts
  • Build, maintain, and communicate hotel-level Operations guides, initiatives, and training material including regular review for content relevancy
  • Lead and develop a team of Distribution Analysts, providing real-time feedback and support to drive performance and support career growth
  • Support other functions when demand is high by sharing the workload regardless of your core team responsibilities
  • Work on identifying and implementing efficiencies using automation or streamlining that save time and money or generate additional revenues

What are we looking for:
We believe the success in this role will demonstrate itself through the following attributes and skills:

  • Outstanding critical thinking and both quantitative and qualitative analytical skills with the ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions to problems.
  • Ability to develop and maintain a deep understanding of business processes and systems as they relate to Revenue Management, Distribution, and Sales across brands and geographies
  • Ability to analyze extensive amounts of information and provide constructive feedback and direction through the application of critical thinking and discernment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including written and verbal communication, to explain complex issues in a clear and concise manner, and to engage audiences when presenting these issues broadly
  • Capability to handle multiple projects within deadlines; work effectively under time and resource constraints
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and decision-making skills to consider the relative costs and benefits of potential actions and to provide recommendations and assist in the execution of optimal solutions.

To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:

  • Five (5) years of professional experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including advanced Excel functions (e.g. VLOOKUP, pivot tables, advanced formulas)
  • Approximately 15% travel time
