A Rooftop Pool Concierge is responsible providing full pool service and food and beverage service, while ensuring a clean, safe and fun environment for guests at the pool in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.
What will I be doing?
As a Rooftop Pool Concierge, you would be responsible for ensuring a clean, safe and fun environment for guests at the pool in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Greet guests and attend to their pool-related needs including, but not limited to, getting fresh towels, relocating chairs and/or umbrellas, confirming registration and issuing recreational equipment, etc.
- Clean the pool area including, but not limited to, ashtrays, furniture, tables, decks, pool tiles, shower tiles, slide tiles, rocks and cabanas
- Collect and replenish pool towels and monitor inventory to minimize loss
- Maintain equipment including, but not limited to, umbrellas, speakers, rafts, pool toys, etc.
- chair and umbrella set up, provide towels, sun glasses cleaning, offer sun block, reading materials
- Monitor use of the facility and address and/or report potential hazards
- Respond to guest inquiries and service issues in a timely, friendly and efficient manner
- Perform general Recreation duties, as needed
- Ensure knowledge of menu and restaurant promotions and specials
- Take guest beverage and/or food orders and input orders in appropriate point-of-sale system
- Retrieve and deliver food and beverage orders in a timely manner
- Replenish beverages and ensure guest satisfaction throughout their time at the pool
- Serve alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with federal, state, local and company regulations

In addition, we look for the demonstration of the following key attributes:
- Customer Focus
- Must have beverage knowledge including wine, liquor and cocktail selections, in-depth knowledge of food and its preparation.
- Minimum 1 year of similar experience
- Fluent in English
- Professional presentation
- Good communication skills
- Ability to provide attentive but non-invasive service
- The ability to maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data
- 5 Star restaurant experience
- Training in Forbes standards of service preferred
- Strong preference for candidates with additional language skills in German, French, Spanish, Arabic, Japanese, Korean or Chinese
