Hyatt Regency Sydney is the largest upscale full service hotel in Australia with a total of 878 rooms. The hotel features our Fitness Centre, 272 seat all-day dining restaurant, a rooftop bar with panoramic views of Darling Harbour and 3,700 square meters of new state-of-the-art meeting facilities.
The hotel offers kitchens that complement our multiple outlets including Banquets, In-Room Dining, Restaurant and Pastry. Our production team is capable of catering to over 3000 covers per day in a variety of events with a variety of cuisines!

We are on the lookout for multiple Commis Chefs to join our dynamic and professional team. We are hiring for full-time role and are seeking confident, responsible, hard-working candidates with a can-do attitude.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional customer service to both and external and internal guests
- Performing duties in an efficient manner, whilst maintaining quality and standards
- Show a sense of urgency in delivery of service, performing
- Liaise with the supervisor or manager on ways to minimise waste at all times
- To ensure that Hotels standards are met and exceeded in every meal served
- To continually be proactive in the pursuit of culinary innovation
- Required to follow standard recipes and plate presentations in order to maintain quality standards of production and presentation
- Perform particular duties in various workstations/kitchens - for example: grilling, frying, roasting and cold preparation in areas as directed
- Responsible for daily specials for relevant sections as requested
- Able to run the day to day operation of the section in the kitchen
Skills and Experience:
- An ability to thrive under pressure and work in a high paced environment
- Good communication skills with a true passion for customer service
- Must be available to work on a rotating roster especially on weekends and public holidays
- Must have full working rights in Australia and currently live in Australia
