Hyatt Regency Sydney has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and creative Event Sales & Planning Manager to join the team at Australia's largest premium Hotel.

About The Role:

As the Events Sales & Planning Manager, you will be a key part of the Event Sales & Planning team and will strive to ensure that all events are delivered by the team in an efficient and impressive manner.

You will be joining a large team from a range of backgrounds who help each other develop and provide incredible experiences for our clients and guests.

Hyatt Regency Sydney is the largest upscale full-service hotel in Australia with a total of 878 rooms. The hotel also features our Regency club lounge, Fitness Centre, 272 seat all-day dining restaurant, a rooftop bar with panoramic views of Darling Harbour and 3,700 square meters of new state-of-the-art meeting facilities. 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Manage the day-to-day administration of events including sending out proposals, preparation of Banquet Event Orders and final accounts
  • Arrange and conduct site inspections with potential clients 
  • Plan and execute the details of the event from start to finish
  • Work closely with our amazing operations team while keeping all stakeholders fully informed of any issues to be corrected
  • Attend and coordinate tastings as necessary
  • Develop future and repeat business, contributing to the profitability of the hotel
  • Revenue forecasting of events in line with department budget objectives
  • Build close working relationships and close liaison with Sales Department, Food and Beverage Department and the Front Office team 

To be Successful

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role within the hotel or events industry 
  • Experience with the planning and execution of large-scale events & groups (Up to 700 delegates)
  • Strong communication skills and proven ability to solve problems independently
  • Effective time management skills
  • Ability to work some weekends and evenings if required
  • Full working rights in Australia
