The Peninsula London, superbly located at 1-5 Grosvenor Place in Belgravia, will overlook Hyde Park Corner, the Wellington Arch, Green Park and the gardens of Buckingham Palace. Upon completion, the hotel will have 190 guestrooms with 25 luxury Peninsula-branded residential apartments. The construction budget for the project is in the region of £800 million and our ambition is for the hotel and residences to set new standards in luxury and service in the London market with completion currently scheduled for early 2023. Located in the highly prestigious Belgravia district of London, The Peninsula London is seeking to hire a Director of Front Office who is capable of leading a large operational team, experienced in delivering personalised service within a fast paced high profile hotel.

Key accountabilities

  • Oversees the daily operation of front office operations, which includes concierge, guest experience and guest services teams to ensure a highly curated and operationally perfect arrival, departure, and in-house experience to ensure a memorable guest experiences and satisfaction.
  • Provide visible department representation, by leading and engaging the departmental team.
  • Foster a culture of professional, friendly and engaging service, whilst ensuring guest concerns are managed with appropriate resolution.
  • Responsible for the creation of the Front Office budget and expenses in accordance with hotel business plans and objectives.
  • Formulate revenue generating strategies to maximise average room rate.
  • Co-ordinate with Housekeeping and Engineering to ensure all rooms are ready to be occupied and are maintained in exceptional condition.
  • Hires, develops, motivates, supervises, and coaches department employees.


General requirements

  • Minimum 3-4 years experience in a similar role within a luxury international property (pre-opening experience is highly desirable).
  • Is a natural organiser, highly detailed and able to engage with guests.
  • Strong people leader having prior experience managing diverse teams.
  • Ability to influence and communicate effectively with the Front Office department and other departments.
  • Fluent English language skills and presentation ability.
  • Strong technology and software knowledge with the ability to problem solve independently.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, ability to engage with VIP’s.
  • Strong financial acumen.
