Job Summary

Runners clean tables, clear off finished plates, and take any dirty utensils and drinkware to the kitchen to be washed. It also the Runner’s responsibility to keep water glasses full and reset tables for the next service. Runners are also to help servers bring food out to tables, re-stock utensils, and napkins among other guest needs.

Job Responsibilities

Collaborate with wait staff to ensure tables are cleared, clean, sanitized, and ready for next guests.
Support wait staff with arranging tables for large parties when needed.
Anticipate guest needs with drink refills, plate clearing, or any other guest needs.
Vacuum/sweep under tables after guests leave to ensure it is clean for the next guests.
Help stock silverware, ingredients, and other supplies needed to ensure prompt service.
Regularly clean and stock restrooms.
Uphold high safety and sanitation standards.
Follows daily opening and closing duties set by Manager.

Skills and Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent.
A minimum of one years’ experience
Must have NYC High volume restaurant experience.
Maintain a high level of personal appearance and hygiene at all times.
Ability to perform tasks with accuracy, speed, and attention to detail.
Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment.
Ability to multi-task and anticipate guest needs.
Ability to work in a standing position for extended periods of time (up to 8 hours).
Ability to kneel, reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull, and lift at least 35lbs.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include days, nights, weekends and holidays
