Working as part of the Category Management team, the Category Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end development and performance of our transfers business for the TUI markets. The role requires strategic, commercial and operational understanding. As part of a small team, the Category Manager is expected to support the overall performance of the department, as well as their own sub-category. 

ABOUT THE JOB  

  • Drive strategic development for the category: 
    • Understand our target markets and customers 
    • Design value propositions to meet their requirements 
    • Develop products that deliver these value propositions 
    • Define our product and IT requirements, from the business perspective, to achieve our strategic aims 
  • Develop commercial and operating models for the category 
  • Steer and report margin development for the category, working with stakeholders to manage cost of sales and optimise pricing 
  • Define portfolio requirements to place the correct products in the correct markets, then work with portfolio management to monitor and adjust as necessary 
  • Develop service standards for delivery of these products, work with internal and external partners to ensure they are met 
  • Ensure full engagement of external and internal partners, through effective communication, stakeholder management and common understanding of business requirements 
  • Maintain an effective business relationship with key partners, both customers and/or suppliers 
  • Ensure customer- and supply-side risks are understood and managed 
  • Own the internal relationship with B2B & Intercruises to develop market-ready solutions 
  • Work with B2B and Intercruises to present these solutions to customers 


ABOUT YOU 

  • You can work in small team, which demands flexibility of both your approach and your skills 
  • You have a methodical, organised approach towards the execution with key stakeholders 
  • Have previous experience in administration, supplier and/or customer management 
  • Demonstrable commercial understanding  
  • The ability to use MS Office tools such as Powerpoint, Excel, Teams and Outlook  
  • Be fluent in both verbal and written English. Additional languages advantageous
