As our Chief Baker, you will:
• Showcase your expertise in baking and pastry arts, specializing in a wide range of bread, pastries, cakes, and desserts that showcase creativity and precision.
• Lead the bakery and pastry team in the creation and presentation of exquisite baked goods, ensuring the highest standards of quality, flavor, and artistic design.
• Collaborate with the Executive Chef and culinary team to develop innovative bakery and pastry menus that reflect seasonal ingredients, culinary trends, and guest preferences.
• Mentor and train bakery staff in baking techniques, pastry decoration, and dessert preparation to uphold the quality and creativity of the resort’s baked goods.
• Manage production schedules, inventory levels, and cost control measures to optimize bakery operations and deliver exceptional culinary experiences.
• Stay abreast of baking and pastry trends, techniques, and ingredients, continuously seeking opportunities for culinary innovation and creativity in the realm of baked goods.
Qualifications
• A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in baking and pastry arts, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership role as a Chief Baker, Pastry Chef, or Sous Chef.
• Proficiency in a variety of baking techniques, pastry decoration, and dessert creation.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and mentor a diverse culinary team.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• A genuine passion for baking and pastry arts, a commitment to quality, and a dedication to delivering exceptional culinary experiences.
