Banquet Set-Up Supervisor - Logistics (Flex position)

What you will be doing:

  • Overseeing and leading a team of Banquet Set-Up Logistics housemen
  • Responsible for communicating the load in & load out information to all parties involved
  • Monitoring groups loading in & out of the ballrooms, laying down tarps and poly tak to protect the physical assets
  • Inspecting the condition of the ballrooms prior to load in and after load out
  • Conducting weekly walkthroughs of all function spaces
  • Documenting and reporting repair needs to our maintenance team
  • Maximizing revenue by selling poly tak and renting tarps to audio visual/production companies loading in & out
  • Assist with planning the daily shift assignments
  • Perform the duties of a Banquet Set-Up supervisor or housemen as necessary
  • Ability to discipline staff accordingly
  • Maintain standards of hygiene for food handling and presentation
  • Follow all safety and sanitation policies

Your experience and skills include:

  • Warm and caring personality
  • Previous Banquet Set-Up or Supervisor experience preferred
  • Ability to follow direction
  • Highly responsible and reliable
  • Ability to read, and understand BEOs and Diagrams
  • Ability to communicate effectively in oral or written form
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work cohesively as part of a team with or without supervision
  • Ability to anticipate and focus attention on guest needs, being professional and welcoming
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Constant standing and walking throughout the shift
  • Constant lifting of up to 50 lbs
  • Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
  • Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
