All members of the Kanika Hotels & Resorts, offer their guests superior gastronomy, with a choice of themed restaurants, each with its particular themed menu and ambience.

Kanika's internships are an excellent opportunity for you to develop your practical skills in an environment which fosters your understanding of the hospitality industry.

As a part of the Kitchen’s team you are expected to learn producing food of high quality for all of our guests. On the other hand you can expect from us to follow up on your training, aiming to shape you into a skilled, pro-active professionnal.

Wheter we orient you towards a the Hot Kitchen, Cold Kitchen, Themed Kitchen or Pastry department, genereally the following can be expected from you:

 To produce food of high quality according to the standard recipes.
 To communicate politely and displays courtesy to the guests.
 To prepare in advance food, material and equipment needed for the service.
 To ensure that all cleanliness and hygiene requirements are met within health and safety standards and sets a good example for personal hygiene and safe working practices.
 To clean and re-set his/her working area.
 To help on the other sections of the kitchen in case his/her section is not busy.
 To operate large-volume cooking equipment such as grills, deep fryers, ovens, salamanders etc. In case of any equipment fault informs immediately his/her superiors.
 To weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to recipes, using various kitchen utensils and equipment.
 To season and cook, turn or stir food according to recipes to ensure even cooking.
 To portion, arrange, and garnishe food, and serves food to waiters or directly to guests if on a live cooking station on the buffet

À propos de vous

Are eligible to apply for this internship, students who:

Are European Union Citizen or permanent resident
Currently study Food production Management or Tourism Management in a recognized Hospitality School or University
Speak fluent (or at least proficiently) Greek
Have very good knowledge of the English language
Have sufficient knowledge of the HACCP system related to food preparation and service
Have sufficient knowledge of the Safety guidelines related to lifting of heavy items, slippery surfaces, gas and electricity
Understand the importance of Personal Appearance and Personal Hygiene
Have a strong affinity for and commitment to the hotel and food production industry
Show willingness to demonstrate initiative and perform shift duties
  • Langue requise: Anglais. Grec est un plus
