Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following areas: 

Digital/ eCommerce 
• Manage social media and SEO agencies. Communicate marketing strategies, monitor campaigns and provide reporting and campaign summaries to Director of Sales & Marketing. 
• Manage and update Hyatt.com and all third party websites to ensure optimized content, images and positioning. Identify opportunities for enhanced content to drive additional bookings through all sites. 
• Plan and execute all web, SEO / SEM, social media and display advertising campaigns. 
• Build and maintain the hotel’s social media presence. Evaluate each platform to determine proper time and financial investment level. 
• Measure and report performance of all digital marketing actions. Identify trends and insights, and optimize spending and performance based on these insights. 
• Evaluate emerging platforms and technologies and provide recommendations to DOSM. 

Marketing.
• Develop and execute an annual marketing plan. 
• Manage specific budget lines related to marketing, promotions and eCommerce. Assist Director of Sales with forecasting variance between business plan and future monthly expenses.  
• Communicate various initiatives, brand guidelines, actions, events and promotions to resort team and Andaz colleagues. 
• Identify collateral and marketing needs the resort and work with designer to produce documents that meet brand standards. Develop templates for use by various departments for ongoing needs. 
• Write, monitor and approve copy. English and Spanish language proficiency is required. 
• Approve images and identify additional digital content needs for future marketing initiatives and social platforms. 
• Create and design advertising materials for digital and print media. 
• Respond to requests from the Marketing and PR corporate office. 

PR
• Manage PR agencies to ensure a comprehensive PR plan is developed and executed. Provide monthly summary and evaluation of agency activities and recommendation for additional initiatives or changes to actions.  
• Leverage existing media relationships and cultivate new contacts within business and industry media. 
• Manage media inquiries and interview requests. 
• Create content for press releases, articles and presentations. 
• Monitor, analyze and communicate PR results. 
• Evaluate opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships and advertising on an on-going basis. 
• Build relationships with thought leaders to grow industry awareness. 
• Manage the Andaz Salon program, including event organization, communication and monitoring results. 
• Execute strategies to enhance the company’s approach to all social responsibility issues, including sustainability, governance, community involvement and charitable giving. 
• Participate in social responsibility membership organizations and attend events. 
• Evening and weekend journalist and social media influencer entertainment will be required.


This is a Manager level, full-time, salaried position. The candidate will work in the Sales, Marketing and Events Department at the Resort in Guanacaste, Costa Rica. A remote office set-up will not be considered due to the responsibilities of this position. English and Spanish language proficiency is required. A minimum of 3 years of experience is required.
