Title Maintenance Technician - Painter
We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance across our 470-acre Estate with a broad range of skills, who understands what it is to be part of a busy team.
As our Maintenance Technician, you will be contributing to an exceptional guest and member experience through the provision of a high standard of repairs and maintenance tasks. You will be supporting the team to conduct inspections, diagnosing faults & repairs in addition to undertaking day to day repairs & decoration to the buildings, grounds and equipment.
Our Maintenance Technician will help to maintain all plant and equipment as well as the fabric of all five buildings. Undertaking tasks within the fields of electrics, plumbing, carpentry, decorating and air conditioning … Every day brings a different challenge and learning at Beaverbrook.
To be successful you will need experience in the full range of maintenance tasks preferably gained within the hotel industry. The ideal candidate will be flexible and be comfortable working in a customer service environment.
You will be qualified in either plumbing or electrics (minimum NVQ Level2/3 or equivalent) with experience in carpentry, painting and decorating. You must be able to deliver a consistent level of service and have strong fault finding and diagnostic skills.
When not working on reactive requests, you will be partaking in planned preventative maintenance which could vary from painting and decorating to servicing. You must be IT literate, willing to update logbooks and job sheets and able to work pro-actively with Contractors. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a positive attitude to health and safety, willing to lead by example.
The Maintenance team are on-site between 08.00 to 19.00 on a rota, with weekends on rotation, and evenings covered by an on-call rota. Flexible, full-time and part-time hours are available for the right candidate. Nights may be required at key times during the year.
