n Arrive at work on time in the correct attire, conforming with the Brisbane Marriott Hotel grooming LSOP.
n Obtain a solid knowledge of the hotel product, including room types, rates, food and beverage outlets and other hotel features and guest facilities.
n Support and abide with the Brisbane Marriott Hotel LSOP’s pertaining to Anti–Discrimination, Sexual Harassment, Equal Employment Opportunity and Guarantee of Fair Treatment.
n Perform all duties to satisfy the Marriott “Business Ethics” value system of integrity, fairness, respect, honesty and trust.
n Be aware of all environmental practices, policies and procedures and implement these on a daily basis.
n Be aware and adhere to all Brisbane Marriott Hotel Work Health and Safety and Security policies and procedures.
n Perform any reasonable task as requested by management.
§ Knows and uses correct, kitchen, bar and cashier terminology.
§ Follow all SOP’s and LSOP’s pertaining to cash handling.
§ Knows and uses correct terminology for all service equipment and utensils.
§ Obtains requisition items for storeroom.
§ Sets tables to required standard.
§ Assist guests with needs at all times.
§ Assist in greeting and seating guests.
§ Serves all food and beverage to guests according to the standard sequence and hotel service policies and procedures.
§ Clears the guest's table to side stations.
§ Presents and is responsible for guest's bill.
§ Assist guests with personal belongings if necessary.
§ Performs opening and closing duties and preparation for the next operation, as directed.
§ Takes food and beverage orders from guests.
§ Collects food orders from kitchen and delivers to guest.
§ Stocks service station with clean and proper operating equipment, utensils, food and beverage and clean as per side duty schedule.
§ Clears service station of soiled dishes and dirty equipment and sends them to dishwashing area.
§ Collects and polishes equipment and utensils
§ Carries out duties in In Room Dining and the Lobby Bar as and when required.
§ Assists with duties in the Executive Lounge where required.
§ Assists with duties in Banquets where required.
§ Has a detailed knowledge of standard room sets.
§ Provides sequence of service as per Marriott standards
§ Attends training sessions and meetings as directed by Department Manager
§ Always presents in a professional manner with impeccable grooming
§ Keeps back of house work areas clean and tidy.
§ To be aware of hotel fire, safety and security procedures.
§ Carries out side duties as directed.
§ The Hotel requires that you will follow established Workplace Health and Safety rules and regulations and demonstrate duty of care to all of our associates.
§ Perform any other duties as required by Senior Management.
