Position Summary:
To support hotel Associates in our region, and any others as required (UKIMEA and CE) and travel partners by offering polite, helpful and accurate information on the Marriott Rewards, SPG and The Ritz-Carlton Rewards programme. Support other Specialty Services Associates with escalated issues. Assists Knowledge Groups, on a day-to-day basis ensuring that enrolment and other data in process accurately and timely. Overall, promoting the Marriott Rewards, SPG and The Ritz-Carlton Rewards programmes to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty retention.
Position Pre Requisites:
1. At least 6 months work experience within the SDM.
2. No written active warnings at time of application.

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. To strive to become an independent and empowered Associate, able to analyse problems and to formulate plans to overcome challenges to get work done quickly with a high degree of quality. To make sound and logical decisions and to choose appropriate courses of action based on the parameters of the situation at hand and to use the problem-solving tools that are available.
2. Provide additional phone cover in times of need for the Department as a whole.
3. Duties include: Answering hotel's questions on policy and procedure, assisting them with technical issues involving Loyalty programme new members and stay information. To input hotel enrolments and visit control sheets when required. Ensuring a high quality of accuracy and efficiency of others. Bring any back-logs to the attention of the Knowledge Group Manager - Manager, Specialty.
4. Deal with telephone calls, emails, faxes and other correspondence from properties in the region.
5. Liaise with other departments and Associates providing information about the Loyalty and other frequent flyer programmes.
6. Support other parts of the business such as, but not restricted to, all CEC Knowledge Groups and other Regional offices.
7. Keep current on all programme related information and that office policies and procedures are strictly adhered to.
8. Keep current on IMS, MARSHA, Marriott Global Source and related upgrades and enhancements. Also be familiar with the different PMS, e.g. Fidelio and Opera systems.
9. Maintain accurate tracking and filing systems in place.
10. To maintain a tradition and attitude of having the desire to provide excellent service to all customers and associates within the Centre which will, in turn, support their efforts to provide excellent service to customers and to other associates. To respond sensitively to the needs and feelings of others, regardless of status or position; to accept interpersonal differences and to maintain rapport.
11. To help create an on-going effort to improve the department through personal action and by contributing ideas to support the department improvement effort.
12. To maintain a clean, neat well organised work place, which projects a professional atmosphere, which supports the general goals of the department which is to be a preferred employer and provider of a desirable work place.
13. To cross train and be familiar with the competent in the performance and understanding of other functions required of the Loyalty & Care Knowledge Group and be able to fill in as required and as directed in the absence of associates who are normally responsible for those duties.
14. Comply with all Marriott policies and procedures.
15. Perform other related tasks as assigned by management.
