ResponsibilitiesThe qualified candidate must be able to provide immediate Liability and Workers’ Compensation claim services for the Walt Disney World Resort and affiliated companies. Must exhibit outstanding customer service with an understanding of the importance of brand management. Day-to-day responsibilities include but are not limited to having the ability to conduct onsite investigations, management and disposition of Florida Workers’ Compensation claims, evaluate liability case exposure and resolve claims directly with guests, cast and attorneys. Candidates should be comfortable presenting to an audience and will be asked to provide training to leaders across the Resort and participate in initiatives to meet department’s goals. Candidates must be willing to have periodic on-call responsibilities, which in some cases will necessitate responding to incidents after hours. Basic Qualifications
  • Florida 520 or 6-20 All-Lines Adjuster License in Good Standing
  • Proven experience and strong understanding of property and casualty claims, as well as Florida Workers’ Compensation insurance and claims handling.
  • Demonstrated strong technical skills, investigation, evaluation and negotiation of liability claims and Workers’ Compensation claims.
  • Ability to work under deadline pressures and handle multiple priorities
  • Demonstrated familiarity with automated claims administration and management systems
  • Demonstrated understanding of medical and legal terminology
  • Computer proficiency within a Windows environment, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint and Business Objects
  • Proven ability to deliver effective presentations to various levels of leaders, including executives
  • Proven ability to deliver concise and informative written summaries in memo and presentation format, using appropriate business writing and professional grammar
  • Proven ability to communicate and work with all levels of Cast Members
  • Demonstrated strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated excellent time management skills
  • Demonstrated strong relationship-building, negotiating and influencing abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively solve problems and make decisions
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information
  • Demonstrated ability to administer litigated Workers’ Compensation claims, including experience in depositions, hearings, mediation and comprehensive case evaluation.
  • Ability to work in multiple computer programs in a paperless claims environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of experience handling Workers’ Compensation, liability claims (Including Bodily Injury, Property Damage, Auto BI, PIP, Auto Property Damage, Discrimination, ADA Compliance and subrogation, etc.)
  • Previous experience handling claims occurring in the State of Florida
  • Proven bilingual ability
  • Proven Third Party Administrator or Employer Self-Administrated Workers’ Compensation claims handling
Required Education
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
