Description of the job:

We are seeking an experienced General Manager to join our dynamic team and lead the team at Henrietta Hotel. A General Manager is responsible for managing the Hotel Executive team and overall hotel targets to deliver an excellent guest experience while managing profitability and guest satisfaction measures.

About us:

Born in Paris, Experimental Group is now operating in 6 countries: France, United Kingdom, Spain, United States, Switzerland and Italy with wine bars, cocktails bars and hotels.
Henrietta Hotel is the first hotel in London from Experimental Group.
Established in 2017 in the heart of Covent Garden, the hotel is composed of 18 rooms. At the end of 2020, 22 brand new rooms will be available across the street.
The restaurant/bistro, led by chef Valentin Pouzet, is inspired by southwest France, Corsica and Basque country. Playful dishes full of color and personality are shared alongside cocktails.

About you:
You will have extensive experience in people management, customer service and a full understanding of day to day operations:

• Leading by example, decision making
• Effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to communicate across of levels
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and PMS (Oracle, Opera, Micros)
• Have a knowledge of business management principles and practices
• Attention to details and customer needs
• Have a Hospitality degree or any equivalence
• Fluent level of English
• Speaking French would be a plus
• Previous management position in London area would be a plus
• Proof of eligibility to work in the UK


Duties and Responsibilities:
• Day to day management of the hotel and operations
• Planning and implementing systems to maximize sales and revenue (in close collaboration with our sales manager)
• Helping to implement the sales strategy with our sales manager.
• Making sure all customers data and booking details are correctly loaded and updated in the Opera system.
• Managing and coordinating the end of works of the new building: coordinating last works actions and making sure the rooms final touches are correctly done.
• Full staff management including training, appraisals and recruitment
• Ensure health and safety legislation is being met
• Overall financial budget & P&L responsibility.
• Reporting all day-to-day information to the London-based office in order to prepare the payroll and be aware of all operational and HR needs are communicated.
• Communicate and coordinates all HR and operational
• Planning cost control measures
• Coordinate with our communication providers to maximize revenue (Google ads, Facebook ads, Instagram posts)
• Accountable for customer experience, ensuring world class / consistent customer service is being delivered at all times. Dealing with customer’s complaints.
• Insuring coordination between each hotel department

Salary:
Full time
