The Role of Director of Finance:
We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Director of Finance to join our pre-opening San Domenico Palace, Taormina, A Four Seasons Hotel in Sicily, Italy!
This role reports to the General Manager; with dotted lines reporting to the Regional Director of Finance and the Vice President, Operations Finance.
The Director of Finance will be responsible for safeguarding the hotel assets and financial resources, providing timely and accurate financial information, establishing and enforcing adequate internal controls and counsel to hotel senior management and ensuring that the hotel operates within all related local and corporate policies and procedures and under the terms and conditions of the Management Agreement.
Our Ideal Director of Finance candidate will have:
Working technical knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (US GAAP, USALI, IFRS, Italian GAAP) and job knowledge of all positions in Accounting, Purchasing, Food & Beverage control and Information Technology. All applicants must possess the legal right to work in Italy and have fluency in English and Italian. Pre-Opening and seasonal experience is advantageous.

You should have passion for people and talent management, the highest level of integrity and transparency, and will be a Business Partner; strategic, strong business acumen, understanding of operational needs and the ability to contribute to key strategies and operational decisions for the hotel, a catalyst for change and an employee champion.
