Job Summary

Join the Housekeeping team at our stunningwaterfront property in San Diego! This 30-story hotel has a prime downtownlocation within walking distance to the historic Gaslamp Quarter and just milesfrom the San Diego Zoo, Sea World, and Padre''s PetCo Stadium. Hilton San DiegoBayfront features 1,190 guest rooms and 165,000 square feet of meeting space withendless views of the San Diego Bay.

Inthis role, you will manage the overall day-to-day operations of thehousekeeping department, run room status reports, and maintain a trustingrelationship with over 200 team members.

Weare searching for a strong leader with excellent communication skills and atleast one year of supervisory experience in an union hotel environment. Priorhousekeeping management experience is a plus!.

What will I be doing?

As a Housekeeping Manager, you would be responsible for managing daily Housekeeping operations in the hotel''s continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Manage daily Housekeeping operations to include, but not limited to, maintaining cleanliness, service and product quality standards of guest rooms, public spaces, restrooms, offices and banquet/meeting/conference rooms
  • Ensure rooms are clean and available to guests in a timely and efficient manner
  • Manage daily systems use and management, cost controls and overall profitability, systems use and management, budgeting and forecasting, department management, policy and procedure implementation and enforcement and meeting participation and facilitation
  • Assist in monitoring and developing team member performance to include, but not limited to, providing supervision, conducting counseling and evaluations and delivering recognition and reward
  • Oversee and conduct room inspections
  • Recruit, interview and train team members

What are we looking for?


Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of supervisory experience in hotel housekeeping or front office
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Full proficiency with MS Word, Outlook, Excel
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Current Housekeeping supervisory or management experience
  • Proficiency with OnQ
  • Bi-lingual Spanish
  • Union team experience
  • Big box property experience (800 rooms)
