About the role:


An opportunity has arisen for an Audio Visual Team Leader to join Conference and Events Operations department in Jumeirah Emirates Towers. The main duties and responsibilities of this role:

  • To supervise colleagues during shift and ensure they are performing up to the required standards of the Company.
  • To keep all audio visual equipment in good state of maintenance and repair.

  • Obtain the day to day AV requirement reports from Delphi and execute it to venues according to the set up instructions from the BEO.

  • Oversee the set-up of AV equipment’s in Ballrooms, Meeting suites, Terrace Venues and Outlets.

  • Ensure all AV equipment is fully operational all the times and inform manager for any requirement of third party assistance to solve the issue.

  • Label any faulty equipment/cables and communicate the issues with the team and manager.

  • Thoroughly familiar with all regulations regarding safety at work and observe these meticulously at all times.

  • Check delivered equipment and room set-up against BEO’s.

  • Assist and instruct guests/clients regarding proper usage and operation of AV equipment’s, up-sell different AV services, and monitor equipment operation at appropriate intervals.

  • Assisting the guest’s to connect their electronic gadgets with our AV system for them to use.

  • Notify any unusual incidents, guest complaints, suggestions and other special topics to the manager immediately.

  • Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures.

  • Timely setup of all functions, checking all equipment and inspecting them for proper functioning prior to the event.

  • Provide audio visual support to all outlets when required in terms of BGM assistance and live entertainment set ups.

  • Ensuring servicing for all equipment & Tier 1 repairing’s.

  • Assisting the execution of last minute bookings and requests within the time limit.

  • Conducting timely maintenance of permanently installed back-end and front end AV systems in Ballrooms, Meeting Suites, Business Center, BGM systems of outlets and other public areas.

  • Arranging, shifting and setting up of AV equipment’s for Terrace events.

  • Active involvement in preparing the CAPEX for the following year.

  • To be updated with all latest AV equipment and trends

About you:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
  • A minimum of 2 years experience as an Audio Visual Team Leader or similar role in a five star hotel environment
  • Good knowledge in Audio Visual, production sounds, TV repair and other electronic device.
  • Clear understanding and knowledge on how to use lighting desks, Audio Recording devices and mixing consoles
  • Bachelor Degree in IT, Electronics or its equivalent
  • Good English communication skills
  • High awareness on maintaining a 5 star property and good customer service skills.
