- Dealing with and resolving any customer complaints.
- Greeting all residents in a friendly and helpful manner and registering Residents with full details.
- Overseeing the entire Front Office operation to maintain high standards.
- Serving as a point of contact for regular and VIP residents.
- Completing night audit duties.
- Maximising room occupancy at best rates and use up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and facilities.
- Understanding and demonstrating correct procedures regarding the acceptance of foreign currencies, credit cards and cash in accordance with the hotel credit policy.
- To inspire, supervise and assist the team members and build a high performing Team in order to follow Jumeirah’s service standards and achieve the business goals.
- Using the Duty Manager’s log book to record all noteworthy incidents, updating Residents profiles as necessary and liaising with relevant departments to ensure appropriate actions is taken.
- Carrying out regular room checks and conducting show rounds of the property where required.
- Representing the General Manager and other senior managers in their absence, taking full responsibility of the residence.
- Managing, recording and promptly resolving issues or emergencies that arise.
- Regularly checking all areas of the Hotel for health and safety hazard, reporting any issues to the relevant department.
- Previous experience working at Night Manager/Assistant Manager level within a 4 or 5 star property
- Previous experience of carrying out the Night Audit
- The ability to deal with high profile guests
- A valid First Aid Certificate
- Previous Night Manager/Assistant Night Manager experience within a luxury 5* hotel.
