About the Job:
An opportunity has arisen for a Concierge Executive to join our Front Office Team department in Jumeirah Messilah Beach Hotel & Spa Kuwait.
Support the Bell Attendants in their work, co-ordinate with the Bell Attendants and Door attendants ensuring the highest possible service is delivered in a friendly and professional manner.
Is responsible for the smooth function of the bell desk operation in the absence of the Assistant Concierge Manager or Team Leader.
To ensure that the level of service that is delivered to guest upon arrival and departure is in a safe and professional manner, aiming to exceed guest expectations as they are the first and last impressions of the hotel.
Directly supervise the operations of the Bell Attendants and Door Attendants.
Conduct and assist in the proper training of all Bell Attendants and Door attendants i.e. LQA training and product knowledge.
Supervise the daily posting and updating the Bulletin board in the luggage room like VIP arrival, SSLE guests, arrivals and occupancy of the hotel.
Monitor and help the guests on the transportation bookings, especially promote hotel transportation to maximize transportation revenue.
Supervise the employees within the department, ensuring that the correct standards and methods of service are maintained.
Is aware of all in house entertainment schedules, location and timings of local events and advice guest accordingly.
Ensure that all colleagues have a complete understanding of and to adhere to the hotel's policy relating to fire, hygiene, health and safety and security.
Introduces guests to the hotel’s Loyalty Club program.
Communicate new or amended procedures to the team during briefings in a timely manner, ensuring they have been understood.
Control department forms and records according to the Jumeirah standards for Document Control.
Prepare and carry out a daily briefing for bell desk colleagues and ensure that effective shift handovers are being carried out by the Team Leaders.
Ensure the general cleanliness of the lobby and entrance area and functionality of all equipment (i.e. ashtrays should be clean and no light bulbs fused etc.) and that no vehicles are parked in the front without approval
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications.
A minimum of 2 years Concierge Executive experience in a 5 star hotel reception.
Should have a secondary school certificate/diploma or degree in hospitality management
Good knowledge of OPERA (PMS) front office application and as well as MS Office applications.
Outgoing personality with ability to communicate with guests and colleagues
Excellent English communication skills
Additional language is an added value
