Job Summary

Responsible for creating and managing promotions for Savannah hotels and outlets.  Combines advertising with promotional deals to entice consumers and clients to experience our hotels and experiences.

Essential Duties / Tasks / Responsibilities:
  • Work with marketing, sales, and food & beverage departments to create promotions and execute marketing strategy.
  • Work alongside on-property teams to incorporate promotions relative to hotel stays and experience.
  • Execute promotions through direct mail, advertising, digital, social media, on-property displays, and other mediums as defined through Corporate Marketing resources to include PR, Media Buyer, Marketing Agency, Social Media Agency, Printer, etc.
  • Develop and launch gorilla marketing tactics to apply a boots-on-the-ground approach in-market to drive locals and in-town guests to our hotels, restaurants, and experiences.
  • Determine length and timing of promotions based on property needs.
  • Market promotions to various businesses to create partnerships with retailers and local businesses throughout the local area.
  • Use social media sites LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook to promote events independently and through Social Media Agency.
  • Work with social media agency of record to create and execute monthly content calendars.
  • Measure ad effectiveness of all campaigns; print and digital and optimize if needed.
  • Coordinate marketing requests with Marketing Agency to create and deliver marketing materials/collateral.
  • Create, review, approve, and revise copy for all online platforms.
  • Work with on-property and Corporate Marketing to come up with ad campaigns.
  • Serve as liaison between all partners, PR, Social Media, Creative, Media Buyer and Corporate Marketing.
  • Work with Managing Director, Director of Finance and CRMO on forecasts and budgets, as needed.
  • Preside over TV, radio, PR interviews and film shoots partnering with 3rd party agencies.
  • Identify target markets for all campaigns to get relevant result.
  • Editing on property templates to include; signage, menus, etc.
  • Managing on-property digital displays; Sonifi and Fourwinds.

Work Environment:
  • The majority of time will be spent in doors in class A office space and on-property.
  • Candidate must be comfortable working in a shared space, with constant noise, without the use of a private office.
  • Overtime is frequently required with or without notice.
  • Schedules may vary from week to week based on business demands.
  • This position frequently interacts with the Marketing department and is required to communicate within deadlines.
  • This position maintains direct contact with external vendors on behalf of the company and may be required to host meetings and/or attend industry related events.
  • This position will be required to be at all events regardless of day/time to capture LIVE performances.


Job Requirements

Experience / Education / Certifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree required, marketing major preferred
  • Previous experience as Area Marketing Manager – preferred
  • Locally connected to the Savannah area through volunteer and partnership opportunities
  • Two (2) years of work experience in Marketing, Hospitality, or related field – required
  • Use of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint – required
