Luxury Cayman Villas is seeking a talented, entrepreneurial, service-oriented individual to join a fast-paced, energetic family deeply dedicated to creating a luxury hospitality experience and growing a new caliber of vacation rental in the Cayman Islands.

As our new Engineering Supervisor, you would be responsible for:

- supervising the functions of the engineering team in accordance with company standards;
- directing all engineering operations for interior and exterior facilities at 15 or more luxury homes, including mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, plumbing, air conditioning, ventilation, structural, paint, pool and spa, landscaping and grounds;
- managing all engineering work necessary to maintain properties in an impeccable condition to ensure the safety and comfort of guests and employees;
- developing and updating engineering standard operating procedures;
- interviewing, hiring, and training new engineering staff members to the standards laid down in the engineering standard operating procedures;
- providing ongoing training to all engineering staff members and monitoring their work performance;
- preparing and reviewing duty rosters for engineering staff;
- reviewing engineering team timesheets;
- creating maintenance manuals for each property in the portfolio;
- establishing and overseeing fire, safety and emergency procedures;
- vetting, negotiating contracts, and building relationships with external vendors;
- scheduling and overseeing preventative and corrective maintenance services with outside vendors;
- conducting regular, unannounced spot checks to ensure that all properties, grounds, physical plants and work areas are maintained to standard;
- inspecting maintenance work completed by external vendors;
- conducting thorough, semi-annual review of each property’s grounds, physical plant and work areas for maintenance issues for every property;
- scheduling beach cleans, pool cleans, landscaping and other services with outside vendors prior to each guest arrival;
- overseeing waste disposal and recycling;
- providing on-call after hours maintenance support, responding to after-hours service calls as needed alongside other engineering staff;
- logging all maintenance requests;
- placing initial and replacement orders for parts, tools, and maintenance equipment as needed;
- performing quarterly audits of engineering inventory;
- overseeing warehouse facilities as needed;
- processing invoices due to external vendors;
- charging owners for maintenances services and supplies as needed;
- maintaining and renewing property insurance policies;
- obtaining and maintaining current Certificates of Insurance from outside vendors;
- attending weekly operations meetings;
- maintaining discretion and confidentiality at all times; and
- performing additional responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.

À propos de vous

The ideal candidate will have:

- at least 3 years of experience in facilities maintenance management, luxury home construction, home inspection or an equivalent field;
- relevant experience with the additional challenges of facilities maintenance management in an ocean-front, salt-air environment;
- strong knowledge of all technical aspects of engineering and maintenance, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, structural, cooling and ventilation;
- at least a high school diploma, although an engineering degree is preferred;
- excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, including professional telephone etiquette;
- a commitment to excellence;
- an eagerness to incorporate feedback;
- a calm demeanor, even in a crisis;
- a respect for diversity and an appreciation for differences in culture, language, background, and way of life;
- previous experience in a luxury hospitality or other customer-service environment attending to the needs of demanding clients or customers;
- the ability to independently prioritize and organize work assignments, work well under pressure, and deal with large volume and variety of requests, while maintaining attention to detail and exercising good judgment;
- strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, and Google Apps;
- strong leadership, management and team building skills, with a demonstrated ability to motivate, lead and promote positive relationships;
- experience working in a demanding, entrepreneurial, start-up environment;
- a willingness to work outside of normal business hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays;
- a valid driver's license and reliable transportation; and
- the ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull and/or place objects weighing up to 100 pounds.
