Financial Reporting Manager (Fixed Term contract)
Position Type : Contract for 6 months (Extendable basis business need for 8-12 months)
To lead the financial reporting function of two legal entities (Moët Hennessy UK Limited and JAS. Hennessy & Co. Limited) ensuring timely, comprehensive and accurate delivery to Group and external parties in compliance with appropriate frameworks.
Profil
Main Responsibilities
Reporting
- Managing the reporting of monthly, quarterly and annual actual results for profit and loss account; balance sheet and cashflow to local and group management for MHUK and Jas Hennessy Ireland.
- Responsible for MH Ireland (Jas Hennessy) month end analysis, budget and LE processes plus Controlling support and adhoc analysis for Country Manager Ireland.
- Preparation of year-end financial statements for two legal entities
- Accounting for MH Europe regional office including recharges to MH SNC
- Accounting for other MH entities with employees based in the UK and for the resulting recharges
- Maintenance and supervision of the General Ledger
- Corporation tax: preparation of the annual returns, liaising with HMRC on open items/issues
- Taxation compliance: including excise duties, VAT, PSA
- Liaising with external tax advisors
- Liaising with auditors: internal and external
- Cash management: Group Treasury reporting of actuals and rolling forecast; Contributive cash flow actual
- Responsible for cash and balance sheet forecasts as part of the annual budget, latest estimates and best estimate reporting process; support for Controlling team in other areas
- Analytical appraisal of above with strong qualitative and quantitative commentary(in collaboration with controlling team)
- Participation and strong involvement in the internal control process in conjunction with the finance community as a whole
- Responsible for exception reports in certain areas (mainly vendor modification and creation)
- Participation in the MH Europe accounting community including sharing best practice ideas
- Responsible for payment processes, including reviewing and approving weekly payment runs, administration for banking systems
- Responsible for overseeing smooth running of accounts payable function
- Responsible for filing the Payment Practice Reporting in line with required deadlines
- T&E: responsible for updating the T&E policy, training employees on Concur and the policy, auditing expense claims, managing Concur upgrades, managing invoicing from travel agency
- Go to person for IT with MHUK SAP upgrades, managing UATs
- Contributing to the MH Europe finance community and sharing best practice
- Improving and streamlining of processes and procedures
- Challenging management to ensure the correct information is being requested and provided
- Develop and implement robust actual reporting tools to enable swift and accurate data extraction
- Ahdoc business partnering across MHUK e.g, Clos19 non-MH products project
Team Leadership
- Responsible for a team of four direct reports
- Management and delegation of appropriate work to the accounting and reporting team
- Coaching, training and mentoring of the team to achieve the finance and personal objectives
- Performance reviews for accounting and reporting team
Information additionnelle
Qualifications, experience and skills required
Education: A graduate and qualified accountant from a recognised professional body (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
Languages: English
Professional experience & know how:
- Track record in a role which has given exposure to all aspects of the finance function
- Ideally minimum of 3 years post qualified experience, preferably in the FMCG, food/drinks, consumer goods sectors or audit firms.
- Experience of working within a small / medium enterprise
Technical & management skills
- Highly IT literate (SAP preferred highly desirable; MS office suite; Vistex; MAP)
