VM & OPERATIONS MANAGER

PRIMARY DUTIES  

Reporting to the Retail Director, the VM & Retail Operations Manager will support business goals by tracking performance, reporting on key KPIs, and managing the visual merchandising function for the Chloe retail network. With full operational oversight for 10 internal boutiques (including outlets and concession) the successful individual must possess a thorough understanding of the luxury industry, retail operations and the importance of delivering exceptional customer service. Work with HQ Operations and Visuals teams to gather direction and effectively communicate and interpret it within the region.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage all functions of Retail Operations in line with the Maison’s Policy, Richemont North America Finance, Audit & Security Procedures and technical maintenance of boutique locations.
  • Manage daily operations for SAP/ DARE functions/ IT
  • Manage KPI Retail Reporting (commission/discount/ traffic/conversion/presentation)
  • Support boutiques to achieve goals and objectives by monitoring store budgets and expenses. Management of Retail and VM Budgets (VM, T&E, Cleaning, Uniforms and Repair & Maintenance)
  • Manage all Vendor creation processes and procedures.
  • Manage and structure non-stock PO process
  • Support operational implementation of all new BTQ projects: Software, Product line
  • Ensure full consistency of shopping environment across the network: Manage hospitality (Food & Beverage), Team uniforms, special activations, Stationery, PLV etc
  • Provide reports to regional Brand President and Global Director of Visual Merchandising of visual direction in the region, areas for improvement, recommendations, etc.
  • Coordinate all retail store planning with HQ design teams and local architects
  • Oversee local window installations and displays
  • Act as liaison between HQ and boutiques to implement VM directives


JOB PROFILE

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required


Required Experience:

  • 5-10 years Retail experience in a retail specialty/luxury environment
  • Boutique experience preferred
  • Store planning
  • Experience with Ready-to-Wear, Handbag, and Footwear categories
  • Experience with window installations
  • Very organized and able to handle multiple projects at once


Technical skills / Abilities:

  • Excel, Microsoft Office
  • SAP
  • DARE / GK


Personal Skills:

  • Outstanding interpersonal, management, communication and organizational skills
  • Deadline- and detail-oriented
  • Team player
