Rosewood Miramar is looking for a Part-Time Security Officer to join the Security Team! 


To be responsible for ensuring the safety of guests, team members, and the security of the hotel and property in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.

Essential Responsibilities

Report for duty punctually ready to work in full uniform paying attention to personal hygiene and tidiness.

Patrol hotel property to ensure the safety of guests and employees and to protect all hotel assets.

Answer house calls assist guests and employee’s safety and security in the hotel.

Initiate and follow-up all investigations of crimes committed against property and persons.

Assist sick and injured guests and employees, ensuring documentation and disposition of reports.

Check all alarm systems, safety, and fire equipment systems and closely monitor the security of building doors, service areas, and delivery areas.

Maintain accurate records while engaging in basic office duties including, but not limited to, camera monitoring, shift activity log, codebook, and employee and guest binder interaction.

Protect evidence or scene of incident in the event of accidents, emergencies, or security investigations; sets up barriers and signage, and provides direction or information to others.

Observe and report incidents or suspicious activity as appropriate for the circumstances and/or as required by the Company.

Respond to incidents of disaster, healthcare facility emergency codes, fire, medical emergency, bomb threat, flooding, water discharge, elevator emergency, hazardous material event, inclement weather, and other incidents or conditions following procedures established for the post, by the company, or through training or certification.

Accurately log and maintains the Lost and Found department log while adhering to the stated restrictions as they appear in the departmental manual. Assures that all property removal is conducted within appropriate policy requirements and in accordance with standards.


Maintain a professional and courteous manner whilst at work.

Be known for being honest, reliable, confidential, and trustworthy.

Ensure guest and employee privacy and security by respecting confidential information

Carry out any reasonable requests made by the manager and other members of the management team in a timely manner.

Be proactive, ask questions, and be responsible for the action or lack of action.

Attend and complete the resort’s organized training sessions and programs as and when required.

Job Requirements: Qualifications


Previous experience as a Security Officer for a luxury or ultra-luxury property preferred.


High school diploma and hospitality and/or safety and security background.

General Skills                

Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to work quickly and accurately at all times; adaptable to a range of activities in any given day – an effective team worker; prioritize, organize and follow-up; be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good directions thoroughly; understand a guest’s service needs; work with minimal supervision; maintain the confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data.

Technical Skills             

Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.  Thorough knowledge of all hotel services and amenities; ability to provide clear directions.


Required to speak, read and write English, and do basic mathematics. Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
