Questions you will help answer:

How can we improve our HR processes to ensure we’re providing a WOW employee experience to the business in the most effective manner?

How do we continue to collect great people data to inform and support Managers to achieve their team objectives?

Things you’ll be working on:

Team Management

You’ll manage a team of two HR Executives based in London to ensure that they provide an exceptional service to the business, specifically checking and supervising: 

  • The 9 payrolls that we manage across our different countries, liaising with the individual payroll bureaus and checking the inputted data monthly
  • That queries are resolved effectively and within the required SLAs in the shared HR inbox 
  • Onboarding and offboarding is completed accurately and consistently 
  • Inductions are engaging, values led and consistent across our offices
  • Right to work checks and any other statutory requirements are completed in a best practice manner 
  • Benefits and all other HR Administration are processed and administered correctly
  • Our systems are up to date and accurate and reports for Management and Finance are fit for purpose 
  • Developing and teaching the HR Executives around HR best practice and employment law updates

Projects

You’ll own the following projects within our HR Roadmap:

  • Review our existing process maps and identify improvements to create efficiencies whilst creating a WOW experience for our employees
  • Review our existing international payroll providers and seek to streamline and amalgamate to create efficiencies and consistent processes globally
  • Review our current HR system and give recommendations on how it can inform and contribute towards our overall HR strategy
  • Review our existing datasets around exit interviews, performance, absence etc to identify trends and make recommendations based on the data 

And you’ll work closely with the wider HR team on the following projects:

  • Annual pay reviews and bench-marking
  • Talent Mapping
  • Employee culture, engagement and values
  • Building a high performance culture - how do we get everyone performing at their best?

How the magic happens

We’re a team of 21 HR peeps; fourteen in London, three in Warsaw, and four in Berlin. This role will report into the HR Business Partner. The HR team was founded nearly 4 years ago, we’ve achieved a huge amount in that time and we’re looking for someone to join our growing team who’s excited to build things from the ground up. 

In short, we work hard, get our stakeholders and have the full support of our two Co-Founders (one Co-Founder is very easy to spot in the office, he wears an animal themed jumpers on Friday).

Deal breakers…

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • Proven experience in a similar role where you’ve built and improved processes
  • Proven experience of inputting and checking payroll with up to date UK payroll knowledge (but not necessarily processing it) 
  • Up to date knowledge on UK employment law and best practice HR
  • Strong Excel and numerical skills (we love data and the insights it brings!)

It would be advantageous if you had…

  • Knowledge of our systems – Salesforce, XCD and Culture Amp
  • Experience working across different countries or European payroll knowledge
  • Experience of working in a similar environment - a tech startup that has expanded rapidly and moves quickly
  • Another language (Dutch, Italian, Spanish or French) 
  • Experience of managing a small team
