Resident Manager – Shangri-La Hotel, Colombo

We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Resident Manager – someone who is an inspiring leader who places our people and our brand at the heart of all their decisions while delivering a superior guest experience. Our ideal candidate will have local knowledge, a background in luxury, high guest engagement and outstanding leadership capabilities.
As the Resident Manager, you’ll manage every part of the hotel through close involvement in all operations, multi-skilling the team to ensure an efficient but effective business, as well as creating a fun atmosphere and providing a highly personalised and locally inspired guest experience. You will adopt a hands-on approach to maintain quality and will lead the team in all areas of the operation. Working closely with the General Manager you will establish clear performance goals for the team, providing regular feedback to them through coaching and support. You’ll be a leader who inspires the team by understanding their individual needs and work alongside them.
An effective Resident Manager for Shangri-La Hotel, Colombo will have a proven track record in a similar role within a luxury hotel group, as well as a strong background in large operations with strong F&B focus. The Resident Manager will be responsible for creating a high-performance culture, leading the team and fostering a collaborative approach across all departments; he/she will also have a proven track record in driving engagement and guest satisfaction for the hotel. Also, he/she must be a savvy business leader with strong commercial acumen, working alongside the General Manager to efficiently drive strategic projects, revenue and financial goals.
