An exciting opportunity awaits an experienced Front Office Manager to work in one of the city''s leading luxury hotels in the heart of Sydney.

 

As the Front Office Manager you are responsible for the smooth and efficient running of the Front Desk, Guest Relations, Concierge, Service Centre, Horizon Executive Lounge, Bell Services and Transportation, ensuring that the highest level of efficiency and guest satisfaction are achieved whilst maximizing rooms and other related revenue.

As the Front Office Manager you will be expected to:

 

•    Supervise and give overall direction to the Front Office Departments.

•    You will need to Initiate, implement and monitor processes and procedures to ensure the Shangri-La Experience and Service Standards are consistently achieved.

•    Plans and controls labour expenses including rosters, leave plans and budgets in conjunction with the Director of Rooms, Hotel / Resident Manager and Labour & QI Manager for Front Office departments.

•    Oversees and establishes operational standards and procedures, developing daily/weekly checklists and completing associated administration to ensure consistency in service and completion of all tasks.

•    Responsible for the recruitment of team members, in conjunction with Human Resources and the Director of Rooms, and the delivery of the Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts orientation program in line with labour and budgetary requirements.

•    Identifies training and development needs on an ongoing basis through hands on support and frequent interaction with team members.  Prepares training plans for all new staff in conjunction with the Training Manager.

 

A successful Front Office Manager will:

 

  • Strong background in Front Office management 
  • Proficient in use of Opera 
  • Friendly, open and able to build and maintain good relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Be a strong leader in a team of dynamic individuals
  • Able to detect and develop talent within your department
