Manager, Performance Analysis, APEC is responsible for technical and analytical support required to provide data-driven performance insights on revenue management metrics including, but not limited to, market share performance, pricing effectiveness, booking pace by segment and tier, market segmentation, channels and source market trends. Will be additionally responsible for report and dashboard development for deeper analysis required to determine factors that impact performance and provide analytical support to Revenue Management leadership.
Collaborate with Director, Performance Analysis and Sr. Director, APEC Revenue Management Operations to deliver APEC Performance insights to Global & Regional stakeholders on a recurring basis (monthly & quarterly); and to provide necessary support in Long Range Planning, Business Planning and Annual Goal setting for APEC.
Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline (finance, computer science, operations research, economics, mathematics, statistics, etc.)
Min 3 years of work experience in hotel Revenue Management experience required
Proficiency with Advanced Excel and Advanced PowerPoint is essential
Expertise in developing corporate reports, dashboards and reporting data visualizations in analytical tools such as Tableau
- Experience in working with SQL databases
Skills and Knowledge
Strong data analysis skills, including querying and manipulation of large quantities of data using applications such as MS Excel & Tableau (pivot tables, modeling, etc.). Knowledge of Python will be an advantage.
Demonstrated analytical ability, with experience in solving “real-life” business problems
Knowledge of financial analysis, quantitative analysis, statistical tools and economic concepts
Ability to take large volumes of complex information and present it to Senior Management in a clear, concise and complete manner which facilitates executive decision making
Ability to communicate data specifications, deadlines and project requirements to suppliers clearly and concisely
Ability to work both as a team member and a team leader to achieve results in a teamwork environment
Strong relationship management, strategic planning, and communication skills
Excellent organizational and time management skills and proven ability to handle multi-task assignments
Excellent project management skills with ability to independently manage multiple projects
Excellent command of the English language; with interpersonal, written and oral communication skills, as well as public speaking
Working knowledge/experience in Revenue Management/Sales/Marketing/Loyalty Programming domains or Travel & Hospitality industry
Marriott revenue management experience preferred
Provide support and maintain continent revenue management tools and reports
Provide monthly analysis and critique to key stakeholders, including but not limited to State of the Business updates, Performance Updates and Market Share trends
Develop analytical approaches to support all key business processes throughout the year
Develop measurement techniques to evaluate the effectiveness of performance related initiatives
Monitor, evaluate and contribute to the enhancement of the effectiveness of the revenue management systems and revenue management efforts
Respond to requests from Revenue Management stakeholders and other Sales and Marketing stakeholders for data and analysis
Special projects, including ad hoc requests for information, analysis and recommendations relative to Revenue Management initiatives
