With previous experience and knowledge of Pro Active sales, preferably in Meeting and Events venues; as a MICE Sales Manager you will have a proven ability to meet sales targets and generate new business.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about sales, wants to build relationships and can create new sales pipelines from lead generation to closing.

You’ll have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build good internal and external relationships with a wide level and range of internal and external stakeholders.

At Sofitel London Heathrow, our purpose is to enrich the journeys of our people and our guests and as a MICE Sales Manager, your main duties will include:

• Manage a pre-determined number of key accounts/key prospects and other active accounts to ensure maximum yield in line with hotel budgetary objectives.
• Maintain valid call objectives and relevant action plans for each key account/key prospect and ensure all follow up is executed in a timely manner.
• Compile and execute monthly sales action plans with budgets as agreed with HOS communicating any obstacles to completing action plans.
• Personally make your own appointments and carry our telephone research on an on-going basis.
• Proactively identify opportunities, arrange and manage familiarisation trips in line with business needs.
• Create and pursue innovative ideas for revenue generation ensuring that all opportunities are researched fully and presented to the HOS where appropriate.
• To conduct sales blitzes/ trips as requested either within the UK or overseas in line with hotel policy.
• Proactively prospect the defined geographical area for new business within the defined customer segment achieving a pre-set volume of telesales and face-to-face sales calls on a weekly/monthly basis.
• Prospect target calls with emphasis on existing, new clients
• Follow up on all action generated as a result of this sales activity ensuring that all revenue opportunities are maximised to their fullest

Profil recherché

• Previous experience in a similar role achieved within a European market, with a good understanding of hotel business mix needs of transient and MICE business,
• Up-to-date knowledge of current trends and market forces as well as, an understanding of sales strategies and account profitability.
• Excellent communication, organisational and negotiation skills
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powepoint, Outlook) is essential
• Experience of Delphi and Opera would be preferred
• A clean driving license
• Flexible to work outside of normal office hours if business needs demand
