Key Duties
• To provide a warm welcome to the guests at the bar.
• To ensure you have a solid knowledge of the range of drinks available and understand the pricing.
• To assist customers with their choice of wine or drink and to take the appropriate orders.
• To actively up sell to enable revenues to be maximized.
• To ensure all guest requests are correctly logged and carried out.
• To clean and prepare the bar prior to the service and lay up all table correctly and mise-en-place prior to, during and after service.
• To ensure smooth service of beverages along with the correct accompaniments, using the correct equipment and glasses, to the standard set down by the Manager.
• To order all necessary stocks from the appropriate stores and maintain bar stocks and operational level.
• To be responsible for the correct posting of bills and their payment in accordance with the hotel credit policy.

• To ensure the correct handling, use of, storage and cleaning of all liquor service equipment
• To assist with restaurant service when required
• To be responsible for food beverage and equipment in own control
• To comply with the standard of service
• To be familiar with current licensing regulations
• To prepare the bar prior to monthly stock takes
• To attend monthly communication
• To promote a good team spirit and good relationships within the restaurant and kitchen brigades
• To check all deliveries to the bar for accuracy
• To prepare operating equipment prior to service

Profil recherché

• Ensure a high degree of personal skills, accuracy, attention to detail and positive attitude.
• To report for duty punctually wearing the correct uniform. To maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene and adhere to the hotel and department grooming standards.
• To provide a friendly, courteous and professional service at all times.
• To maintain good working relationships with your colleagues and all other departments.
• To ensure you read the hotel's employee handbook and have an understanding of and adhere to the hotel's rules and regulations and in particular, the policies and procedures relating to Fire, Hygiene, Health and Safety.
• To comply with local legislation as required.
• To respond to any changes in the department as dictated by the needs of the industry, company or hotel.
• To be flexible and extend job duties to carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities within the job capability as assigned by management, including redeployment to alternative departments/areas if required, to meet business demands and guest service needs.
• To attend training and meetings as and when required.
• To assist in maximising productivity for the Department.
• Ensure strict control is adhered to when receiving and returning keys and whilst in their possession.
• Reports any incidents, complaints, suspicious persons or safety hazards immediately.
• Is fully aware of their work schedule and ensures adequate notice is given with circumstances when they are prevented from adhering to the schedule.
• Basic Food Hygiene Training
• Understanding of London Restaurant scene
• Knowledge of Open Table System or equivalent
