Disney Worldwide Shared Services - Credit & Collections oversees the credit and collections function for The Walt Disney Company. In this capacity it is the purpose of DWSS - Credit & Collections to maximize profitable sales, optimize cash flow, and minimize bad debt loss by performing all aspects of customer collection and deduction management of the accounts receivable.
The Credit Specialist supports the Global Credit Team through the credit risk assessment process. Utilizing a credit scoring system, the Specialist obtains approval or denial of customer orders. Activities also include: obtaining bank and trade credit references, communication with internal and external stakeholders, and data entry into the credit system and order approval systems. This role will be based in Orlando, FL, reporting to a Credit Supervisor. Responsibilities

- Conducts credit reviews, utilizing credit scoring systems, spreadsheets, public information, and credit data providers
- Assists the Credit team with required monitoring and updating of customers and vendors credit information
- Enters credit decisions into the credit system and order approval systems
- Developing credit professional knowledge, applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues
- Applies general knowledge of business developed through education and / or past experience
- Training in financial/credit analysis
- Makes routine and non-routine decisions within defined parameters, but still subject to approval
- Impacts own team through the quality of the services or information provided; follows standardized procedures and practices and receives regular but moderate supervision and guidance
- Communicate with both internal and external stakeholders
- Must meet service level agreements to support Sales, Finance & Contract Administration, Accounting and Controllership
- 0-2 years of experience in commercial credit analysis, internship experience preferred
- Strong customer and business partner engagement skills
- Proficient in Excel or Access
- Basic commercial credit analysis
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to adapt quickly and learn new tasks independently
- Capable of working in fast-paced and changing environment Customer service oriented and responsive to customer and business inquiries
- Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business preferred
