Job Summary

The Boca Raton Resort & Club is seeking a full time Welcome Ambassador.


A Welcome Ambassador is responsible for managing our guests'' experience at the entrance of the hotel. Their main focus is to engage every guest in conversation and recognition, as well as to be fully empowered to resolve any guest issue immediately. This individual will promote the hotel by demonstrating high level of positive attitude and energy to serve and share our Founder''s message.


What will I be doing?

As a Welcome Ambassador, you would be responsible for greeting and recognizing guests with a warm and hospitable welcome in the hotel''s continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Identifies and inquiries about guest needs to better serve them during the visit.
  • Reads and makes daily entries in the log book to coordinate communication between shifts and management.  Meets daily with Front Office Manager to go over any comments or issues.
  • Constant awareness of all important functions occurring in the hotel in order to direct and assist guests. Assists Front Office team in providing information and support to ensure total guest satisfaction for group clientele.
  • Responds to inquiries with accurate information regarding hotel features, services and assistance. Knowledgeable with daily functions, VIPs, and any other special event occurring in or pertaining to the hotel.  Provides clear and understandable directions to hotel facilities and nearby attractions.
  • Manages lines of guests waiting for any outlet or service in the hotel by engaging them individually and identifying if their needs can be better served by another department.
  • Directs VIP guests to accommodations.  Coordinates with Front Desk and Towers staff regarding daily VIP arrivals and special guests.  Also identifies past guests with service recovery and/or with special needs.  Communicates regularly with guests to ensure they are enjoying their stay.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Ensure Club Members present their club cards. Confirm on the computer for guest passes. Call the front desk if you have a question about a guest at the gate. 
  • Must have knowledge and/or experience in the following departments: Guest Service Agent, Bellperson, or Concierge to best assist guests at any time.
  • Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to defuse anger, collect accurate information and resolve conflicts.
  • Ability to read, listen and communicate effectively in English, both in verbal and written format with our guests and departments. 

  • Ability to access and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system. 
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended period of time.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts and days. Weekends & Holidays required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft computer software, including Excel and Word.
