What you will be doing:

  • The Executive runs the culinary operation and will take full responsibility
  • Leads by example using Accor’s: mission, vision & values
  • Will liaise and cooperate with other department heads and ensure effective communication with them
  • Shares responsibility for the control of food/labour costs
  • Involved actively in menu design and food preparation standards
  • Oversees implementation and training on new menus and recipes
  • Upholds a safe working environment by ensuring all staff work safely, support the concept of team versus individuality, work in compliance with the health and safety regulations and promote our health and safety program
  • Manages employee performance, through training, coaching, or corrective action as required
  • Hires colleagues according to budgeted positions
  • Supports and promotes environmental practices and programs
  • Maintains trainings and development of employees, follows up on Colleague Performance Reviews
  • Seeks opportunities to increase food revenue, decrease kitchen expenses and maximize departmental productivity without compromising guest satisfaction
  • Ensures details of guest service are maintained to standards of FRHI
    Maintains departmental standards in accordance with FRHI
  • Promotes professional work habits, encourages staff to act with integrity
  • Ensures effective co-operation between banquet service, In Room Dining service team and the kitchen
  • Leads and inspires colleagues to reach their full potential
    Creates memorable dining experiences for all guests
  • May replace a Sous-chef or a Restaurant chef in his absence and take over his responsibilities
  • Carries out other related duties that may be assigned



Your experience and skills include:

  • Previous Executive Chef experience in the culinary field required
  • Must have at least 5 years international experience
  • A passion for food, a desire to further develop culinary and leadership skills
  • Proven track record of cost control including food, equipments, labour and wastage to meet the food quality goals and the hotel’s financial goals
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications required
  • Fluency in Turkish & English
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
  • Highly responsible & reliable
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
