Job Description

 

The Courtyard by Marriott DFW Airport South is seeking a highly motivated, determined, and experienced General Manager to lead the overall operations of the hotel.


Responsibilities
  • Leads and manages overall operation of hotel.
  • Leads department heads to ensure overall profit, service and team member satisfaction goals are met or exceeded. This includes Brand Standard compliance.
  • Drives hotel team to create a clean, comfortable, well-maintained hotel.
  • Responsible for hiring, termination, and training of all employees.
  • Speaks with and responds to guests regarding service challenges.
  • Ability to work throughout each department as needed.
  • Facilitates a compliant Manager on Duty program 7 days a week.
  • Works within department budgets, defining and directing changes as required.
  • Prepares revenue and expense forecasts. Directs hotels action required to maximize profitability, increasing service levels and compliance with policies and procedures
  • Oversees the Sales and Marketing activity and results. Leads and/or participates in sales and marketing strategy meetings. Participates in the efforts to secure business as needed.
  • Property accounting to include accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll.
  • Facilitates hotel projects such as renovations and brand initiatives.
 
Job Requirements
 
  • Excellent leadership skills- must be willing to LEAD by example
  • Dedication and commitment to staff as well as hotel guests
  • Must be able to provide support to staff at all times
  • Willingness to jump in and help staff when needed and provide coverage of shifts
  • Proven success leading a hotel team
  • Proven ability to lead sales efforts and motivate staff
  • 2 prior years of hotel GM experience
