About us

Florida Beach Bar (apart of Crowne Plaza Terrigal) is currently undergoing significant renovation and are looking for a team of personalities to lead us into this exciting new phase for Central Coast''s premier hospitality venue. 

Opening in December, Florida Beach Bar will reopen with the best of everything and that includes our people. We want the best.

Located opposite one of the most spectacular beaches right in the heart of Terrigal on the NSW Central Coast.

Your day to day

As Sous/Venue Chef, your passion and dedication to delivering flavour will complete each customers experience. By taking pride in your workspace, keeping your standards high, and giving our menu the benefit of your expertise, you’ll create some of our customers most lasting memories.

This role will see you creating on trend menus and lead a developing team of culinary enthusiasts to help take the team and the bar to the next level. You''ll take pride in your proven ability to prepare and produce high quality food according to standard recipes, whilst supporting the Kitchen team in delivering the highest level of customer satisfaction.

What we need from you

Ideally, you''ll have a formal Commercial Cookery Certification a minimum of 2 years experience as a Sous Chef. Carrying and lifting heavy objects are role requirements; hence you''ll be comfortable when handling kitchen/food objects, products and utensils and ensure compliance with HACCP as well as policies and procedures.  You''ll have strong communication skills, have good attention to detail and be effective at time management, and also be available to work nights, weekends and/or public holidays.

As a leader you''ll have the ability to inspire your colleagues and have the genuine care to train and develop a high performing team. You will also strive for continued food excellence and financial success for the department. You will assist in overseeing a smooth operation that adheres to local health, safety and other compliance concerns will be second nature for you.   You will be a true brand and local Terrigal ambassador in everything you do!
