What You’ll Do 

Candidates with a passion for excellence, expertise in hospitality operations and proven leadership experience are invited to apply for a career with the Four Seasons Resort Hualālai as an Assistant Director of Food and Beverage. As a member of the Food and Beverage team, the Assistant Director works across disciplines to deliver an exceptional experience. 

Responsibilities 

  • Coordinate the selection, training, development, and evaluation of employees and managers in the Food & Beverage Division through effective management and leadership to ensure that established cultural and core standards are met; long-range strategic planning for outlet operation. 



  • Control labor and operating expenses through effective planning, budgeting, purchasing decisions, policy making, and inventory control while focusing on creative cost control and revenue generation solutions to maximize profit in the division and hotel. 



  • The ability to be visible in the operation, recognize and maintain relationships with regular guests as well as cultivate relationships with new patrons through effective marketing and personal relationships. 



  • The ability to work closely with the Director of F&B to design effective menus, wine lists, and amenity options while ensuring excellent product quality at a fair price. 



  • Communicate with employees and managers to ensure operational needs are met as well as attend regular operational meetings to ensure effective coordination and cooperation between departments.   



Desired Qualifications and Skills 

  • College degree preferably specializing in hotel/restaurant management or equivalent experience or equivalent experience. 

  • Three to five years’ experience as a senior Food and Beverage leader across multiple food and beverage disciplines in the luxury market.   



  • Strong business acumen, good communication and interpersonal skills.   

  • Excellent leadership skills and ability to demonstrate employee development through passion for learning and teaching. 

  • Excellent organization and delegation skills. 

  • Required by the Hawaii State Department of Health to obtain a Tuberculous (TB) clearance card when working in food and beverage 

  • Successful candidate must possess legal work authorization in United States 



  • Excellent guest/customer relations
