Grand Hyatt Kuwait is looking for a passionate and extremely creative Chef de Cuisine for a modern brasserie to deliver the finest of the old world Grand Café with a creative twist.
This modern brasserie concept fuses the classical beauty and technique of a French Brasserie with modern, innovative thinking. The restaurant is about the freedom to adapt, to play and to be inspired by classicism and urbanism at once. We want this offering to be inspired by female chefs and the energetic food culture of Kuwait. This is a wonderful symbol of change – out of the box thinking that can take a traditional brasserie to the next level.
This position requires hands-on leadership with strong people management and communication skills capable of inspiring a team in a high energy space. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient day to day operations of this restaurant.
- Previous experience as Chef De Cuisine/Head Chef in a stand alone restaurant with high volume operations.
- An instinctive eye for details and very keen passion for European cuisine.
- An inspirational and engaging leader with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- A relentless and infectious passion for foods and restaurant trends.
- A sound pre-opening experience would be advantageous.
