Assistant Manager Stewarding (with Transferable IQAMA)

You will be responsible to assist with the efficient running of the department in line with Hyatt International''s Corporate Strategies, Purpose, Mission, Vision and brand standards, whilst meeting colleague, guest and owner expectations.  

The Assistant Manager will report to the Stewarding Manager for day to day operations and ensure the Stewarding operation runs smoothly. Daily briefings are conducted, scheduling is done and all areas are covered. Must be present in outlets during operation hours working with the Stewarding team especially during breakfast and when lunch/dinner is busy. Ensure inventory of all chemicals, clean supplies and operating supplies is effectively done on a monthly basis. Train the team regularly and ensure all safety and hygiene precautions are met.

In the absence of the Stewarding Manager must run the operations and work closely with both Executive Sous Chef and Operations Manager/Assistant F&B Manager. Must regularly check all areas of service and kitchen, ensure all operating equipment is in good working order. Deep cleaning and disinfection of all floors, surfaces is effectively done. Must be hands on and whenever required to work physically in operations, must be available and willing to do so. Monitor the breakage and ensure a proper monthly report is prepared. Arrange awareness training for Service, Kitchen and Stewarding.

Ideally with a relevant degree, apprenticeship or diploma in Hospitality or restaurant management. Minimum 2 years work experience as Assistant Manager in F&B service or stewarding or as Team Leader in a hotel or large restaurant with good standards.

Must be very hands on and able to physically assist and work in operations.

Must have good working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Powerpoint.

Good knowledge of chemicals.

Good command of English in Speaking, Reading and Writing is a must. Arabic will be an asset.

Must be already working in Saudi Arabia with a transferable IQAMA.
