It exudes a philosophy of sensory and sustainable treatments inspired by the surrounds and will evoke a distinct sense of place, heightening rejuvenation and self-actualisation. Adding a passionate and worldly team who can bring the InterContinental Life alive is the last puzzle piece for the Resort’s delivery of rich and personal experiences; expert therapists to create bespoke experiences that will unlock the mind and restore the body.
Having a knowledgeable and worldly team who can build on the uniqueness of the resort and bring the InterContinental Life alive is the last puzzle piece for the Resort’s delivery of rich and personal experiences. As a Spa Therapist, you’ll provide comfort and care and deliver soulful experiences that combine the traditional and contemporary across all elements of the spa journey from clay wraps to facials, massages and bridal make up.
Your day to day will involve;
- Delivering spa services across the spa menu.
- Undertaking a variety of make-up styles and looks including bridal.
- Maintaining in depth knowledge of all product ranges offered in the spa and upselling to guests.
- Performing all spa reception duties including reservations, cashiering, answering telephone and other general enquiries as required.
- Assisting in keeping the spa clean and tidy at all times; including treatment rooms, change rooms, wet areas, reception and back of house areas.
- Anticipating and responding to guest needs.
With 1 – 2 years of experience as a spa therapist with a strong portfolio of delivering a diverse range of massage, treatments and make-up application, as the ideal candidate, you will hold a certificate IV or Diploma in Beauty Therapy or Massage. You will have good communication skills, excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high standards alongside exposure to an environment where the focus was on creating experiences not stand alone services. Demonstrated customer service skills and a proven track record in retail sales will also be key to your success.
Previous exposure to a remote island environment or within hotels and resorts would be a plus. However if you’re a confident professional who wants to utilise their strong technical skills and passion in to deliver unique luxury experiences, this new, diverse and challenging environment will also be for you.
You must hold the appropriate work rights to work within Australia and be flexible to work weekends and evenings as required; commencing from early to mid August 2020.
