Mandarin Oriental Bosphorus, Istanbul
Set to open in early 2021, Mandarin Oriental Bosphorus, Istanbul, will be Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group’s second hotel in Turkey. The hotel will enjoy a prime location on the sunny shores of the Bosphorus, situated on the European side of Istanbul in the high-end residential Kuruçeşme neighborhood.
The urban resort, with its lush generous enchanted gardens, will feature two outdoor pools and private wooden pavilions on the shores of the Bosphorus. Mandarin Oriental Bosphorus, Istanbul will be comprised of 100 spacious guestrooms and suites, innovative restaurants & bars and expensive and elegant banqueting facilities. Spread over 2,700 square meters, The Spa at Mandarin Oriental Bosphorus, Istanbul will become one of Istanbul’s best wellness and beauty destination.
Duties and Responsibilities
Support company’s philosophy and company culture through the use of Departmental Legendary Quality Experiences (LQE’S) and Company’s Pillars, on a daily basis to ensure Guest Satisfaction and the achievement of our Mission Statement.

Will perform as a professional, with a friendly business attitude and conduct all duties and responsibilities as required by the position or assigned by the Director of Spa & Wellness.
Ensure that the therapists are reviewing and keeping up to date treatment room checklists.
Assist the therapist team in coordinating treatments to accommodate guests who may have contra-indications and the spa treatment may need to be altered.
Check the visual book to ensure all treatments are in line with therapists allocations. Reviewing the spa soft for the day and the week to ensure that everything is booked correctly and efficiently for revenue maximization.
Support the team where needed in creating therapists rotas and implement into Spa soft on a monthly basis. Creating an effective schedule that meets the needs of the spa as well as works around the hours of the colleague’s availability. Ensure that the senior therapist is correctly overseeing back of house operations including: treatment rooms and preparation room.
Ensure that the senior therapist is correctly conducting room checks: trolley, closets, room and equipment maintenance. Spot check as necessary.
Work with the senior therapist to update therapists task lists as required.
Ensure that the senior therapist is maintaining cleanliness and attention to detail in spa suites throughout shift. Do spot checks as required.
Conduct Spa tours to review standards, procedures and operational status.
Conducting frequent checks of equipment and facilities to ensure safety and prevent loss of equipment due to negligence of wear and tear.
Keep work area clean and neat at all times.
Follow all Standards and Procedures.
Create, plan and sign off monthly spa attendant, spa therapist and spa concierge training plan
Attend Hotel daily briefing as and when the Director of Spa & Wellness is not on the property
Conduct Spa Concierge and Spa Attendant Meetings.
Responsible for the operations of the entire Spa and Fitness and guest interaction
Excellent communication skills both in Turkish & English
Experience in spa opening/pre-opening support
A previously demonstrated high level of engagement with the global spa team (supporting group initiatives and/or assisting with property and/or regional support beyond their own property.)
At least 3 years in a similar position at a luxury hotel
