JOB SUMMARY

Partners with hotel leaders on the property status for brand re-positioning, to identify possible and/or existing challenges/opportunities. Determines the need to engage appropriate Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) of key discipline stakeholders (e.g., Area Directors, Revenue Management, Sales, Marketing and eCommerce) and coordinates a brand re-positioning meeting if appropriate. Proposes the appropriate leverage of re-positioning needed (e.g. full marketing vs. in-depth) based on identified challenges/opportunities and recommends suitable tools. Manages and directs the stakeholders, via quality-control pre-work submission processes, to maximize effectiveness of brand re-positioning meetings with SMEs. Partners with ADSM to review and assess the Priority Hotel Quarterly Report for accuracy. Collaborates with ADSMs to identify potential grounds. Collects, researches and analyzes appropriate data to gain deeper understanding of issues. Co-Facilitates meeting discussions with ADSMs, property, regional and discipline stakeholders around identifying creative solutions. Provides direction on action and accountability planning. Coordinates and Facilitates routinely training program for newly hired property coordinators in the region. Facilitates regional or cluster sales training courses as an ad hoc resource for cluster sales training that are delivered within the region. Serves as the Subject Matter Expert for property coordinators for skill development.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED; 5 years’ experience in the sales and marketing or related professional area

OR

• 4-year bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 3 years’ experience in the sales and marketing or related professional area.

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

Leading Brand Re-Positioning Processes

• Partners with hotel leaders on the property status for brand re-positioning, to identify possible and/or existing challenges/opportunities.

• Determines the need to engage appropriate Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) of key discipline stakeholders (e.g., Area Directors, Revenue Management, Sales, Marketing and eCommerce) and coordinates a brand re-positioning meeting if appropriate.

• Proposes the appropriate leverage of re-positioning needed (e.g., full marketing vs. in-depth) based on identified challenges/opportunities and recommends suitable tools.

• Manages and directs the stakeholders, via quality-control pre-work submission processes, to maximize effectiveness of brand re-positioning meetings with SMEs.

• Facilitates brand repositioning discussion meetings and creates action plans for opportunities of improvement.

• Monitors and evaluates results for positive movement.

• Identifies gaps and collaborates with key stakeholders to coordinate and develop a reprise of action steps/plan, if initial action plan is determined ineffective.

• Maintains successful follow through of action plans.

• Provides direction to property leadership to verify compliance in all criteria on brand-repositioning.

• Proactively identifies trends in specific markets/brands, understanding leverage points and impact.

• Develops documentation and manages correspondence for effective communication to stakeholders.

Managing Priority Hotel Review (PHR) processes.

• Partners with Area Directors of Sales and Marketing (ADSM) to review and assess the Priority Hotel Quarterly Report for accuracy.

• Collaborates with ADSMs to identify potential grounds.

• Collects, researches and analyzes appropriate data to gain deeper understanding of issues.

• Co-Facilitates meeting discussions with ADSMs, property, regional and discipline stakeholders around identifying creative solutions.

• Provides direction on action and accountability planning.

• Monitors and assesses results of action plans for progressive movement. Determines effectiveness, and provides analytical detail if reprise of action items is recommended.

• Cultivates effective follow up processes, based on priority levels and case-specific.

• Builds and maintains rapport to gain alignment with stakeholders and SMEs for opportunities presented.

• Verifies active participation from all stakeholders and leverages best practices.
