JOB SUMMARY
 

The Senior Manager of Reservation Systems Portfolio Management & Deployment is responsible for supporting portfolio management and deployment of Reservation System initiatives and requires comprehensive collaboration and coordination with multiple HQ and continent disciplines and stakeholders such as iT, Revenue Management, Digital, Operations, Brands, and Owner & Franchise Services.  Initiatives supported are large-scale, requiring Reservations Platform pull through with multiple roadmaps that will continuously update throughout the lifecycle of each initiative. Example of large-scale initiatives include; Enhanced Reservations Solution, EMPOWER Reservations (for hotels) and pull through of multi-year initiatives such as All Inclusive, Upgrade Transparency, and Maglev. 

 

The Sr. Manager will be accountable for assisting in the development and execution of a new governance and in-take model that achieves defined goals across the reservation platform and portfolio of initiatives.  The Sr. Manager will guide each “track” of the initiative(s), helping each track lead, track progress using standard tools, ensuring milestones are achieved, identifies and mitigates risks, ensures budgets are managed, and prepares content and materials for program level meetings and executive updates on a frequent basis. 

 

This position is also responsible for the successful deployment of initiatives within the portfolio and will partner with stakeholders and continents to align on the deployment approach and plan according to company and continent standards. 

 

CANDIDATE PROFILE

 
Education and Experience
  • Minimum BA degree; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred, but not required
  • 4+ years of relevant work experience
  • 2+ years of solid program/project management experience
  • Exceptional project/program management competence and skills
  • Expertise and proven track record in supporting complex, multi-functional initiatives
  • Strong command of written language, graphics, and executive communication style
  • Ability to distribute, assign and ensure completion of work throughout various teams without direct management authority
  • Ability to persuade and influence others, including those at senior organizational levels
  • Ability to enforce program governance
  • Ability to adapt and embrace change in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in providing direction and performing responsibilities via influence ability
  • Ability to engage and motivate individuals to achieve goals
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience using MS Office suite of products required
  • Experience using Tableau, SmartSheet, and Webinar Platforms strongly preferred
  • Experience within Lodging or Hospitality industries, preferred.  
  • Discipline experience with Information Technology, Revenue Management, Reservations, or Hotel Operations preferred.
