Position Description


Primary objective of position and profile

To support, assist and guide Hotel Revenue team to maximize hotel's rooms, meetings & events, food & drink and other revenue by effectively using Revenue Management tools, ensuring ideal inventory levels at all times, and ensuring a correct price positioning.

The job incumbent is a leader, target oriented, persuasive, active, proactive, and achieves results through his or her team. Technical skills in Revenue Management and Revenue Management systems (Connect Applications e.g. Curtis-C, SNAP, Web Focus, etc. and other 3rd party reports e.g. H360, OTA insight, etc.) are required. All works will be in line with the Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group corporate guidelines and service concepts.

Position Description
Inventory and distribution management:
• Implementing Carlson-Rezidor revenue and distribution systems during the pre-opening phase the hotel.
• Ensuring Hotel compliance with Rezidor/Brand Pricing and E-Commerce policies.
• Key contact (account handler) for all E-commerce partners and ensures all contracts are in-line with current Rezidor/Brand policies.
• Setting yield controls in the PMS/CRS based on the forecasted demand in order to ensure maximum revenue potential and RPP performance in conjunction with the Hotel’s overall performance objectives
• Ensuring proper PMS data management, i.e. inventory management, segmentation, rate loading.
• Ensure Hotel information in the CRS and related systems are up to date and reviewed on a regular basis.

Pricing and positioning:
• Review Hotel pricing, rooms and M&E, on an ongoing basis to ensure proper positioning of the Hotel versus its competitive set/market.
• Monitoring of competitor pricing/strategies and gathering and analyzing of market intelligence.
• Ensures parallel pricing and inventory is maintained between the Hotel and Curtis-C and other distribution channels.

Forecasting/budgeting:
• Grows total revenue and RevPAR Penetration (RGI) to approved budget levels, by utilizing revenue optimization (in order to maximize the Hotel’s performance versus its competitor set).
• Coordinates the forecasting and budgeting of room and M&E revenue as per Rezidor/Brand guidelines.
• Growing M&E revenue by utilizing revenue optimization in order to maximize the Hotel’s performance versus its competitor set and budgeted targets.

Market Intelligence:
• Keeps an up to date knowledge of all main competitors, submarket
• Recognizes trends in the market
• Keeps an up to date knowledge of the marketplace / demand generators

Revenue analysis, tracking and reporting:
• Conducts Revenue Meetings and ensures minutes are sent to all participants.
• Provide comments on the Hotel’s financial and market performance on a timely basis to the General Manager and other members of the Hotel’s RevGen team.
• Ensures active communication between the Sales team, M&E team, Finance and Reservation/Front Office team of all revenue related issues.

People Management:
• Monitors the team’s overall progress and makes recommendations for increased effectiveness with the focus to ensure that revenue goals are achieved by supervising reservation team.
• Is fully involved in the selection process including screening, interviewing and selection of potential Reservation and M&E team candidates and approves new hires.
• Trains the reservations team to be positive, proactive and responsible for their respective positions.
• Ensures that staff meets and exceeds guest expectations by training and inspiring them to provide Yes I Can! Service.
• Encourages, develops and manages effective employee relations within department and throughout the hotel.
• Actively develops talent

Position Requirements and Offer Details


• 1-2 years experience in similar role
• Strong analysis and communication skills.
• Strong technical skills in Microsoft Office, PMS systems, CHW eXpress, third party extranet sites and other systems.
• Degree in Hospitality or Business education
